The Center for Journal Therapy, Inc., of which Journalversity is a part, is approved as a Continuing Education Provider (ACEP #5782) for the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) and may offer NBCC-approved clock hours for programs that meet NBCC requirements. Programs for which NBCC-approved clock hours will be awarded are identified. The ACEP is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.
It is the student's responsibility to check with your issuing agency to see if they accept or have reciprocity with NBCC. Students must fill out course survey fully at the completion of the course to receive CEs.
The number of hours allotted for each course varies and is always clearly stated in the course catalogue and in the materials for the course itself.
Nearly all counseling boards (including substance abuse boards), some social work boards and some psychology boards accept CE hours from NBCC ACEPs. If you have questions, check with your state board or governing agency.
There is no additional cost for CE certificate. Course evaluations MUST contain licensure information (type, number, state of issue). We are required to retain your licensure information and course evaluation on file for seven (7) years.
