Kathleen Adams LPC, PTR*

Kathleen Adams is a licensed psychotherapist who has pioneered the field of journal therapy since 1985. She is the author/editor of twelve books, including the classic Journal to the Self (1990), still a best-seller after nearly 30 years, and several textbooks. She is the founder/director of the Center for Journal Therapy with international headquarters in Denver, Colorado. A beloved teacher and mentor, Kay is known as a global leader in the standards-based training and practice of therapeutic writing. She has personally worked with thousands of therapists, facilitators, students and clients to make the healing art and science of journal writing accessible to all who desire self-directed change.

Carolyn Koehnline, LMHC, CJT*

Carolyn Koehnline is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Journal Therapist with a private psychotherapy practice in Bellingham, WA. She specializes in combining psychological perspectives, compassionate practices, creative tools and practical strategies to address the external and internal clutter that blocks life force and wanted changes. She teaches at Whatcom Community College, is a featured presenter for the Eliot Institute and other communities, secular and sacred. She teaches online classes privately and through the Therapeutic Writing Institute. Carolyn has written and illustrated three books, Confronting Your Clutter, The Bear’s Gift and the forthcoming Clearing Clutter as a Sacred Actwww.ConfrontingClutter.com
